KV2 Audio has announced the introduction of the SL6.10, a new subwoofer that’s the latest member of the SL Series that incorporates six front-loaded 10-inch ferrite cone drivers (with two-inch voice coils) in a slim cabinet that offers a variety of deployment options – ground stack, suspension and wall-mount options.
The SL6.10 measures 13.78 inches deep and is designed to integrate aesthetically with the SL412 full-range loudspeaker. Bass response can be further enhanced by doubling or tripling the cabinets, particularly when the SL6.10 is used against or within a wall. It also combines acoustically with the ultra-low frequency VHD1.21 and 2.21 subwoofers as part of an active five-way system if required.
Up to three SL6.10 subwoofers can be powered from one channel of a VHD3200/3200D amplifier, which represent significant savings compared to its predecessor (SL2.15), which required an amp channel to power two units.
The SL6.10 can be wall-mounted, suspended and ground stacked options, and it can also be installed directly into walls and surfaces where space or visual aesthetics are at a premium. The units may also be designed and supplied with custom colours, grille templates and logos.
In addition, the SL range also now includes the SL3000D and VHD3200D amplifiers, which incorporate the KV2 Control & Diagnostics tool, meaning that the SL6.10 may be set up, controlled and managed entirely remotely if required.
