K-array has announced the launch of a connected software suite that includes the new K-FRAMEWORK, K-CONNECT and K-MONITOR platforms for the design, configuration, control and monitoring of the company’s power amplifiers.
“As we expand our group of K-array brands, including K-array, KGEAR and KSCAPE, we want to offer a 360-degree solution for the control and design of systems,” states Alessandro Tatini, CEO and president of K-array. “With the launch of our interconnected series of software, including mobile apps, offline designer tools and monitoring solutions, we aim to provide a complete ecosystem for system designers and end users.”
K-FRAMEWORK is offline software designed for 3D simulation and amplifier configuration designed to enable more advanced users to simulate room coverage and then configure the amplifiers associated with the desired loudspeakers.
The K-CONNECT mobile app, available for iOS and Android devices, is designed to streamline the access procedure by allowing users to connect to any K-array amplifier hotspot with a scan of the QR code. The app offers browsing and modification of settings with a simplified user interface. And, K-MONITOR provides discovery tools for technical assistance during commissioning and for ongoing monitoring.
The first service built on the new platform is Dante Ready, allowing users to add Dante audio networking channels on demand. K-array amplifiers already have a dedicated operating system (OsKar) as well as a third-party control API with plugins available for control platforms that include Q-SYS and Crestron.
“We are thrilled to demonstrate our range of software solutions at InfoComm 2023,” says Matteo Barbaro, software product manager at K-array. “With our innovative hardware and user-friendly software offerings, we are confident that professionals in the audio industry will enjoy enhanced control, convenience, and expanded functionality across the K-array brand.”
