However changing an entire inventory over to LED is just not cost effective, resulting in a lighting portfolio with both incandescent and LED lights. With this progression comes the need for hybrid power solutions, the ability to dim incandescent fixtures as well as circumvent the dimmer and output hot power without worrying about damaging sensitive electronics. This is possible through a contactor-type relay bypass system that has proven successful in the Jands HPC dimmer.
The HUB XCD takes this to the next level and allows even more integration into your performance space with full DMX/RDM capabilities using sACN or, if you prefer, Artnet. Another great benefit is an Ethernet input for the control by third party devices that use Serial over Ethernet. There are two external switch inputs dedicated to an emergency switch or one for the cleaners.
Locally, the HUB XCD is controlled by a touch screen and an encoder button giving the operator a quick and visual way to make alterations or view current settings. Individual LED push buttons below each overcurrent/RCD breaker can also be used to change how the circuit will perform and illuminates in a different colour to indicate which role it is playing.
The HUB XCD, with its tall, slim form factor, has been specifically designed for easy installation into tiny spaces usually set aside for distribution rooms. This is matched by the accompanying patch panel that easily fits adjacent, while any heat is vented through the top of this advanced dimming system.
