Bell Shakespeare is one of Australia’s foremost theatre companies. We are seeking an experienced IT / Operations Manager to join the Production team. The IT/ Operations Manager is responsible for providing IT and Operational Management for the Company that supports the Company’s activities.
As a key member of the Production Department, you will work closely with the Head of Production to ensure all IT and Operational elements of the company run smoothly at the highest possible standard.
Who you are
The successful applicant will be an active participant in Managing IT and Operation at the company, working closely with our IT providers, strategising IT roll outs, management and development of website and SharePoint and also managing the building facilities along with the development of Pier 2/3 planning.
To be considered as a successful applicant we require;
Essential criteria
Demonstrated professional industry experience
Knowledge and experience in IT Management
Experience in working with contracted suppliers
Experience in the planning, installation and operation of technical systems
High level computer skills, particularly using spreadsheets and word processing software
Experience in building and facilities management.
Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety requirements in a production environment and prior experience producing WHS documentation including Risk Assessments and Safe Work Method Statements.
Proven ability to work in a team environment whilst also able to work autonomously
Flexible attitude to duties, responsibilities and working hours within the skill set of the position
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Ability to keep detailed written and electronic records.
Must hold a current driver’s licence
Be an Australian Citizen or hold permanent residency
Desirable skills
Tertiary Qualifications in arts, arts management and/or theatre technical and production fields
An understanding of the artistic process and the ability to work with creative teams
Experience in using tools and machinery
