Following the tough year that 2020 was for the live entertainment sector, the legends behind loadin.com have launched their own COVID-SAFE SYSTEM for a robust, digital contact tracing platform specifically designed by the live entertainment industry, for the live entertainment industry.
“Anyone that works in live events understands just how many people it takes to get a show up and running,” says loadin.com co-founder Haydn Johnston. “To ensure accurate COVID compliance, event organisers need a reliable tracking system to safeguard artists, staff, vendors and stakeholders from the risk of COVID transmission on-site. This is where we step in.”
loadin.com COVID-SAFE SYSTEM not only meticulously collects data from every person working or performing at an event, it also assists event organisers to gather all of the essential COVID health check documents, manage staff follow-ups, and customise passes with required info so the safety of all performers and workers is ensured well ahead of show day.
Unlike other check-in systems, loadin.com COVID-SAFE SYSTEM allows for multiple check-in points across large areas, perfect for large festival sites or anywhere workers would be required to pass through different work zones. The system also allows event organisers to collect, manage and access data while still remaining legally compliant, and its robust reporting features are designed for peace of mind, ensuring accurate and detailed contact tracing information can be swiftly delivered to health authorities or anyone who may require it.
loadin.com COVID-SAFE SYSTEM has been specially designed with the music industry in mind by professionals with decades of production experience behind them. Co-founder Haydn Johnston’s event work began in the early days of Big Day Out. Since then, he has established the globally recognised event production and management company, Architects of Entertainment, working on Australia’s biggest and best festivals and events.
Now one of the most respected industry figures in the country, Haydn is utilising his 25+ years of experience to set the blueprint for how festival and event communication should be done and hopes that the development of loadin.com COVID-SAFE SYSTEM can assist in getting the struggling industry back on track.
“loadin.com was born out of a general frustration of advancing 22 live festival days a year as well as countless acts of all genres.” Says Haydn, “When I was looking for a solution, everything available seemed to over complicate the process.” So, Haydn teamed up with web developer, designer and now loadin.com co-founder, Alan James, to create the system.
Alan’s experience is vast, having worked in the web industry since its commercial viability in 1995. His career spans moments such as building Siemen’s first-ever website and Intranet in the UK to launching Expedia in Australia in 2006. He has built and designed legal portals for Thomson Reuters, redesigned St George Bank’s business online banking for mobile as well as designed and developed enterprise-grade web applications for the likes of Qantas, Westpac, Service NSW and Pfizer amongst many others. Alan leads at both design and development and now he has channelled his experience and UX expertise into creating the seamless service that loadin.com provides.
“Loadin.com is not designed to replace the wealth of talent sitting either end of the keyboard. It simply creates a communication hub for Touring Acts, Artist Liaisons, Production and Vendors,” says Haydn, “and now that we’ve added the smooth back of house component and contract tracing system, we hope the service will make life even easier for those organising, managing and working events in the current climate.”
“I’ve been banging on about how good this back of house system is to anyone who’ll listen for a while now,” says Glenn Dickie, Export Music Producer, Sounds Australia. “It’s helped Sounds Australia streamline our logistics as well as data capture for reporting. It’s simple and detailed and the new COVID safe integration system is amazing. If we could use this at all the events we attend, I’d be very happy.”
