Audio Visual Engineering (AVE) is an exclusive distributor of professional event technology covering all aspects DJ, Audio, and Lighting related. Dedicated to providing solutions to the Australian entertainment and events industry. We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our Internal Sales & Support team.
In this role the focus will be on handling customer orders & enquiries, supporting our business development representatives, and building relationships with customers to better understand their needs.
Our customers range from production companies, retailers, integrators, and event rental companies. The position requires a person to have exceptional communication and organisational skills, with experience in office operating systems (Google suite, Microsoft office, ERP and CRM systems). Having prior audio-visual industry experience, and product knowledge are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities;
- Answer all phone and email enquiries.
- Receive and process sales orders from new and existing customers.
- Provide assistance and updates for customer order and returns.
- Assist sales team and provide key information & reports as needed.
- Update and assist in maintaining the customer database on the CRM.
- Add new leads into the CRM and assign them to the correct representative.
- Assist wholesale customers in-store and with order collections.
- Build and manage professional relationships with existing customers.
- Provide customer updates for backorders, shipments, repairs, and orders
- Update the team with key customer and product information/reports
- Create and deliver customer and sales reports for management by set deadlines
The successful applicant will ideally have;
- Great communication & organisation skills
- Experience with common office systems (Microsoft office, google suite, emails, etc)
- Excellent customer service
- Time management and able to prioritise tasks
- 1 year of AV/Event industry experience or retail/admin experience
- Previous B2B admin/sales experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite
