Highlite International has announced the new Furion Series from Infinity, a collection of IP65-rated, high-performance moving heads. The Furion Series combines power, precision and versatility with a comprehensive range of high-end features.
The Furion line-up offers eight models that span the essential categories of spot, profile, beam, hybrid and washbeam. Each is designed to enhance creativity and provide a comprehensive set of tools for lighting designers.
Each specific Furion model has its own strengths and is optimised with many built-in features for creative freedom to push the boundaries in professional environments.
The Furion Spots and Profiles (S602, S402, P602 and P402), for example, feature a ‘flat field LED’ light source that produces a uniform field of light with very little loss of brightness towards the edges. The Profiles are equipped with a framing system for precise beam shaping. The H402 Hybrid offers smooth transitions from a narrow 0.6° beam to a wide 50.7° wash, while the B402 Beam delivers a razor-sharp beam for pinpoint accuracy. The WashBeams (W402 and W602) offer a wide 16-bit zoom range, creating sharp beams and soft washes with smooth dimming capabilities.
All LED-based fixtures have a ‘Studio Mode’ which sets the cooling fans to a constant, quiet speed for noise-sensitive environments.
Highlite product manager Ron Schiffelers says: “We wanted to put together an entire series of lights that covered all of our customer’s needs. By offering spots, profiles, washbeams, a beam and a hybrid in the same series, we are able to ensure compatibility between all of the light fixtures. This eliminates the problems that are often encountered when people mix and match lights from different brands.”
In addition to the fixtures, Infinity has developed a range of accessories to support the Furions. Tailor-made protective cases with a truck-friendly footprint for each model provide optimum protection during transport. The Infinity IP Tester is for checking the IP rating after maintenance. Additional gobos are supplied with gobo holders that can also be used for custom gobos. Quick-release brackets reduce set-up time.
