From Lead Singer of Killing Heidi, Ella Hooper, through to the NWA’s DJ Yella Ft Playboy and headliner Ball Park Music, the “Moolin Rouge” Tent Stage at Groovin the Moo Festival in Canberra was alive with musical talent. Creative Productions was asked to take to the road and head to the Nation’s Capital, Canberra, where two trucks of production were unloaded and installed into a very interesting performance space.
Lighting production consisted of a fairly intensive GLP rig with 16 x GT-1 spots, over 30 x X4 Bar 20’s, 20 x X4L Moving LED Wash Lamps, as well as 22 x Storm LED Strobes, and Nova 4 Blinders and Lightsky Extreme Beams. All in all, there was over a hundred and twenty fixtures. A grandMA2 full size and light console with NPUs provided the control for the majority of the acts, with the Headliner, Ball Park Music, choosing a Roadhog Console with a DP8000 processor. MDG Hazers, LSC Dimmers and Distribution and over one hundred metres of LED festoon rounded out the rig.
Video for the event used Creative’s new TourPro M590 5.9mm LED Panels to create a large upstage LED wall alongside a number of other LED effect screens driven with Barco image Pro ii scalers. The 5.9mm LED panel is going to be held in the Sydney office for the coming weeks to service a number of events across NSW.
