When Mater Maria Catholic College on Sydney’s Northern Beaches required a lighting upgrade to their Drama Room, they turned to HME Services for a professional and effective solution.
Like many schools, Mater Maria Catholic College required an LED lighting system as it uses significantly less power consumption, is simple to maintain and requires less cabling.
A neat package of lighting fixtures was provided including six ShowPRO LED Fresnel RGBAL DMX Zoom known for their ability to provide variable colour temperature whites or vibrant saturated colours, making it a versatile fixture. Barndoors for these fixtures were also supplied.
For profile work, a couple of Prolights EclProfile CT+ high quality, six colour mixing LED ellipsoidals were chosen along with 15-30 Degree lens tubes and gobo holders.
Control is an LSC Control Mantra Lite plus a Mantra Lite Wing which makes the control of LED fixtures easy and intuitive for the students – perfect for smaller venues such as schools.
HME Services also supplied and connected an LSC APS Power Distribution Rack to 3 phase power supply in the power distro area where a Theatrelight 4-way DMX splitter was also placed.
The lighting bars were held up by hook clamps which HME replaced with preferred clevis kits whilst adding a Kupo Versatile socket box with 1x DMX out to each bar and running cables in ducting back to a wall plate by power distro. HME installed the aforementioned wall plate with 2x DMX Out for cables running to lighting bars and 1x DMX In for cable running from the control desk.
Ever thorough, much connecting, cable running and testing ensued before HME provided training to the technicians at the school.
