Head Technician/Production Officer (Don Russell Performing Arts Centre)

  •  Full time (76 hours per fortnight)

About this position

Reporting to the Coordinator of Don Russell Performing Arts Centre (DRPAC), the City of Gosnells is seeking a qualified technician with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead others. 

This position will coordinate and deliver the technical requirements of productions, including seminars, school graduations, theatre productions and musical shows.  Duties will also include administrative tasks in respect of the technical aspects of the business, including asset and risk management.

Applicants must have experience of working with a range of technical equipment pertaining to the theatre environment. 

What we are looking for

To be successful in this position you must have:

  • Previous technical experience in a theatre or similar environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to understand and deliver technical production requirements
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills working with teams, individuals and the community 

Applicants must be able to work weekend and evening shifts as required. 

Essential requirements

  • Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old)
  • Current “C-Class” driver’s licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
