About this position
Come and join a busy metropolitan theatre in one of the fastest-growing local government districts in Western Australia. The Centre hosts over 100 shows/events per annum, with both in house productions and community hires. National tours and performances from some of the state’s leading professional companies feature regularly.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Don Russell Performing Arts Centre, the City of Gosnells is seeking the services of a qualified technician with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to lead others to co-ordinate, set up and carry out the technical aspects of varying types of productions, including seminars, school graduations, theatre productions and musical shows. Duties will also include administrative tasks around the technical aspects of the business.
You must have
- The ability to work with a range of technical equipment pertaining to the theatre environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Exposure working in a theatre environment, delivering high-level events and productions.
- High level of energy for stagging quality events.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Essential requirements
National Police Clearance and current driver’s licence.
