Head Technician – Lighting

An exceptional opportunity currently exists for an experienced and highly motivated professional to join QPAC in the full-time term role of Head Technician – Lighting.

Reporting to the Manager – Lighting and Electrical Services, this important leadership and administration role will be responsible for supervising and motivating staff to provide a professional, client-focused and cost-efficient service to QPAC venue hirers and internal business units.

This position requires a high calibre individual who is suitably experienced and qualified in theatre lighting and administration. Customer service is of paramount importance to this role, as is experience in leading and motivating a team in a dynamic live theatre environment. Relevant industry experience is essential and tertiary qualifications in technical production, live theatre, events or an equivalent discipline will be highly regarded.

This role will require the successful candidate to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends in accordance with performance schedules and requirements. It will require the individual to have a high degree of flexibility in relation to their work hours, sometimes at short notice.
