Head of Production & VCE Teacher

Eltham College has a strong tradition of theatre fully supported by the College leadership team. Many of our students aspire to a career in the performing arts. We have a team of staff who have professional training in drama that will support you in this role. This is a full-time ongoing position commencing Term 1 2022.

The College values teaching production skills, with a 2020 graduate entering NIDA’s stage production course. In this role you will have access to contemporary sound and lighting equipment as well as quality vision mixing facilities.

As Head of Production, you will:

  • Lead a team that sees ELTHAM College being rated as a leading Australian school for the delivery of the co-curricular theatre and performance programs
  • Take responsibility for ensuring College productions are cutting edge, inspiring pieces of contemporary art that challenge students, while also supporting performances that engage as many students as possible
  • Ensure that College productions are well managed and coordinated
  • Ensure communication, technical elements and all areas of rehearsal and the performance process are of a high quality

As VCE Drama / Theatre teacher, you will:

  • Provide the best possible education and care for each student in alignment with the College’s Strategic Directions and Values.
