Salary:  $69,858.67 per annum. Higher salary may be negotiated depending on the applicant’s skills, qualifications and experience.

The Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) is a premier facility that brings the city to life and provides the people of Cairns with the finest performing arts experiences and a broad range of entertainment.

Hosting an array of events and performances including plays, musical theatre, dance, comedy and contemporary and classical music performances. 

Munro Martin Parklands (MMP) is Cairns’ newest community gathering place complete with an outdoor performance space, equipped to host a wide range of events.

The role requires the ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekend shifts.

To be considered for this role you must have: 

• Possession of a Rigger’s Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Current Queensland LR Class Drivers Licence (or ability to obtain)
• Certificate III or IV in live Production and Services (or ability to obtain).
• Current First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain).
• Elevated work platform (EWP) > 11 metres (or ability to obtain).
• Test and Tag Certification from a nationally recognised body (or ability to obtain).
• Construction White Card (or ability to obtain).
• A high level of operational competency in technical theatre, specialising in lighting and lighting systems.
• Knowledge of and Experience in using ETC EOS, MA grand and Hog lighting systems.
• Working knowledge of CAD and Vectorworks and creating Lighting visualisers for clients.
• An understanding of relevant WH&S principles and legislation.
• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service.
• Ability to effectively lead a team.
