GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY is seeking a talented Head of Lighting to join the team.
Since opening at The Old Vic in London, Girl From The North Country has taken the theatrical world by storm, selling out seasons in the West End, Toronto, Public Theater New York and on Broadway, and is now one of the most critically acclaimed new productions of the 21st Century.
Schedule:
- Sydney rehearsals – December
- Sydney season – January to March
- Adelaide season – March to April
- Future dates – May to August
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all the responsibilities consistent with a Head of Lighting on a first-class musical.
- Work closely with lighting Associates to transfer the show from each venue.
- Work with suppliers and local venue staff to set up and run lighting systems.
- In conjunction with the Stage Manager and Technical Director, develop the stage plots for all lighting equipment throughout the technical process.
- Supervise and document the regular maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with the handover of stage plots to swing staff where required.
- Willing and able to cover stage plots where required.
- Adhere to relevant Australian safety standards where applicable.
- Other responsibilities as required by the Executive Producer and Technical Director.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstratable experience with theatrical lighting systems.
- Rigging qualification desired.
- Experience in commercial theatre productions highly desired.
- Relevant tertiary skills desirable.
