We are seeking a keen self-motivated individual to join our technical team in the newly created part time role of Head Mechanist / Technician.
The Head Mechanist / Technician will work with all members of the National Theatre staff and the hirer to help ensure the best possible outcomes of all productions in a calm and friendly manner.
They will work closely with The National Theatre Schools during production periods to provide expert advice and solutions. As well as providing labour in the set design and construction phase.
Assist with general maintenance throughout the building to provide a safer, happier work environment.
Key areas of work include mechanical maintenance and operation, simple construction and rigging. Basic lighting and audio knowledge is preferable.
