Glasshouse Back of House

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Back of House team at the Glasshouse, the arts and cultural heart of Port Macquarie where we bring world-class entertainment to the regional community. Our Back of House Team, provide a range of high-level technical services (lighting, audio, AV, staging, artwork installation) and building maintenance activities to ensure the seamless presentation of theatre shows, gallery exhibitions, conferences and events.

To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate proven experience in the relevant technical areas, ideally in an entertainment or conference venue; a willingness to learn new skills in production and technical areas; excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

On a typical day this role will:

  • Bump in and out theatre shows
  • Pre-rigging the theatre in preparation for performances
  • Setting furniture and technical equipment for meetings and events
  • Supporting the gallery team with exhibition installations and the theatre technicians in operating lighting, audio and AV
  • Performing general venue maintenance duties

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Casual – daytime & evening shifts available.

Hourly Rate (exclusive of super): Starting at $26.69 Per Hour + Penalties + Superannuation + opportunity for competency-based progression.
