Dracula’s on the Gold Coast is seeking a full-time Technical Systems Manager to join our passionate and dedicated team. The responsibility of the TSM is to supervise, maintain, repair, and improve all technical elements across the business. This encompasses AV equipment within the theatre, as well as other technical elements around the venue including animatronics, networking and show control systems.
This position is ideal for someone with substantial experience in live production – particularly in touring theatre – who is looking to settle into a full-time position on the Gold Coast, with desirable working conditions, consistency, and stability.
Dracula’s is an iconic and distinctly unique venue. Predominantly operating as a theatre, the business integrates components of hospitality, administration, retail, and theme-park style elements throughout the venue. The responsibility of the TSM is to supervise all technical elements within the business.
The Technical Systems Manager is required to:
- • Maintain the quality and performance – and plan and conduct upgrades – of all theatrical and venue technical systems, including lighting, sound, show control and venue theming.
- • Ensure the regular maintenance of critical technical infrastructure.
- • Assist with and implement the technical design of Dracula’s in-house productions leading up to, and throughout the production period.
- • Work in consultation with the show directors to maintain the quality of the production and adjust programming and show design as required.
- • Provide training, development and mentoring to the technical operators.
- • Occasionally perform observations on performances to ensure technical show elements are being carried-out to a high standard.
- • Maintain and improve on systems and procedures, as well as OH&S requirements. Identify areas where improvements can be made and continually strive to improve conditions.
REMUNERATION SCHEDULE
- 38 hours per week
• $1,650 per week gross
• ($85,800 per annum)
• Superannuation of 11%
