For nearly three decades, Factory Sound has been a trusted partner for musicians, producers and engineers, offering top-of-the-range audio gear and guidance.
Their story began as a practice studio for local Melbourne musicians, with a small section of the space dedicated to selling audio gear. As their reputation for providing high-quality equipment and expert advice grew, they made the decision to transition fully into the arena of professional audio retail.
Fast forward, and Factory Sound has just opened its Sydney store in Parramatta, a move that stemmed from the growing demand for quality pro audio and audio-visual services in the region. This aligned with their goal of expanding their reach and providing more accessible support to clients across Australia.
By setting up a “second home”, they can offer a more direct, tailored service to their existing clients and strengthen their relationships in Sydney’s bustling market.
“We see Factory Sound as the place where individuals can learn and foster their creativity,” commented Artie Jones, General Manager at Factory Sound. “We aim to create an atmosphere where high-quality audio-visual experiences drive brand impact and leave lasting impressions. It’s a holistic view to provide immersive experiences and extend education beyond the classroom setting.”
In their Experiential Centre, they offer an array of interactive demo spaces designed for hands-on exploration. Here, visitors can not only test and engage with the equipment they’re interested in purchasing but also experience the quality and versatility of each product firsthand.
“Seasoned engineers and producers, DJs and musicians alike can listen to their work, experiment with different setups, or even create new recordings in a professional-grade environment,” said Artie. “Our goal is to provide an immersive space that allows individuals to feel confident in their choices and inspired by the creative possibilities our equipment offers.”
As for future plans, there are many! In the short term, Factory Sound will continue to develop its experiential centre in North Parramatta, to provide a real hub for professionals and enthusiasts alike – just as they have been able to do in South Melbourne over the past 30 years.
There are some deep plans that they are not ready to share just yet. When the time is right, it will be right!
