Ampd Electronics is a specialist integrator of Audio, Vision, Lighting and Custom Electronics. Based in Kelvin Grove, we have a varied portfolio of small and large audio-visual projects across South East Queensland. Our customers include major entertainment venues as well as theatres, theme-parks, hospitality venues, nightclubs and education markets.

Specific responsibilities for the AV Installation Technicians include:
- Equipment installations
- Data Rack building
- Cable and fibre installation & terminations
- Onsite venue service & repair calls
- Programming of DSP’s & Control Systems
- Project planning and working with the Operations Manager to ensure project delivery is on time and to the required standards
Technical Skills and Knowledge Required:
- A good understanding of audio-visual design principles
- Ability to read and interpret AV schematics and cable schedules
- Ability to perform on-site testing and basic commissioning as required
- Ability to build and populate racks in a neat and structured manner
- Provide end user handovers for basic installations as required
- Moderate networking experience
- Knowledge of architectural and entertainment lighting products and systems
- Knowledge of DMX, ARTNET, sACN, AES-67, DANTE, TCP/IP protocols
- Experience with Q-SYS, BiAMP, Bose, BSS, Yamaha, Symetrix DSP’s platforms
- Experience with Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron and AMX
- Must have experience with Job Management Systems, Project Management Systems & Microsoft o365 suite
Personal/About You
- A proficient installation technician with a great attitudeÂ
- Great attention to detail and pride in your work
- A minimum of 5 years commercial AV experience
- A mature, professional and friendly communication style
- Represent the company with high degrees of professionalism
- Self-managing and can make logical day-to-day operational decisions
- Open cabling registration is desirable
- Restricted electrical work license is desirable; or qualified in electrical trade
- Construction White Card
- Manual Drivers License
