About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Event Technology & AV Operator to join our AV team. The Event Technology & AV Operator at Bankstown Sports is responsible for ensuring any audio and visual requirements of our Events team is fulfilled. With primary AV operations occurring in The Theatre, the AV Operator will also be required to assist with the Bankstown Sports Group on going AV hardware and software requirements as well as liaising with event clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setup and operate event technology equipment in our state of the art Theatre and Grand Ballroom.
- Work with external audio-visual vendors and other contractors as require
- Liaising with our Events Team to provide AV requirement scoping & support
- Clean, maintains and performs minor repairs on mechanical components of audio visual equipment.
- Provide support to the various end users of AV facilities within the Bankstown Sports Group.
- Maintain AV documentation
- Work Health & Safety responsibilities
- Demonstrating our core values; Working Together, Community, Continuous Improvement and Customer Service Excellence
Selection Criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in operating front of house audio and/or lighting in live entertainment and performing arts industries.
- Proven audio knowledge and technical skills required to operate equipment in live entertainment and performing arts industries
- Proven ability to deliver a high-quality customer service in high pressure situations.
- Basic networking and technical skills
- NSW Drivers License
- A flexible, team-oriented approach to work
- Proven ability to work unsupervised
- Thorough knowledge of WHS requirements and standards.
- Strong attention to detail.
- RSA, RCG competency cards
- Must be flexible with rosters and available days, nights and weekends as required
