Event Production Manager

Full Time

Be part of a dynamic team that is helping people in Australia and other parts of the world.  Globalheart Church was established in Perth, Western Australia. Now also in Hamburg (Germany) and Lusaka (Zambia), Globalheart Church plans to establish a number of other domestic and international church plants. The Service and Event Production Manager leads our Perth-based production team for church services and maintains our equipment supporting mid-week events.  The role also provides advice and training to our other domestic and international locations. This role is responsible for leading the volunteer production team to deliver superior service and event production.  This includes technical production planning, management and delivery of physical and online services and events in our Perth location, as well as providing support and training to our global location production teams.

Core accountabilities

The Service and Event Production Manager is accountable to:

  • Lead the service and event production team consisting of sound, lighting, stage management, cameras, vision switching, media presented for on stage activities, online services and throughout all buildings for all services and events.
  • Ensure approved service and event media is delivered during services and events.
  • Establish and maintain systems of quality control incorporated into team training.
  • Provide training to global location production teams.
  • Recruit production team.
  • Ensure agreed continuity of all audiovisual and production equipment including performance, maintenance and acquisition.
  • Research the best technology solutions/methodologies and make recommendations (including budgets) on solutions/methodologies to management.
  • Manage IT consultants and minor IT technical support, including the purchase of IT equipment and management of relevant software licensing agreements.

A professional and extremely organised individual who will be proactive and able to lead teams while managing multiple priorities with strict deadlines. You are hard-working and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. To ensure your success in the role, you must have strong communication skills, highly capable in systems design and will have a breadth of experience in audiovisual production equipment.

  • A minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in optimising audiovisual equipment for stage and online productions.
  • Up-to-date knowledge with the use of technology to optimise the audiovisual consumer experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Be able to work permanently in Australia without restrictions.

Remuneration

A salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience.
