Edwin Shirley Staging Australia (ESS Australia), which changed its name to ES Group Australia Pty Ltd (ESG) in 2009, will now be known once again as ESS Australia. Current managing director Iain Barclay has become the sole shareholder and has assumed all operating responsibility for the company.
All staff remain with the company, and ESS will continue to service festivals, concerts and major events at multiple venues around Australia. ESS will also continue to maintain a specialist supplier network with The Mojo Barriers.
“The formation of ESS means we are now in a position to focus our 100 percent of our efforts on our core business of supplying staging to the domestic market,” Barclay said. “As part of our commitment to quality, we will invest in new systems and continuously upgrade our stock levels to ensure we have the capacity to service all customer requirements.”
In its 12 years experience as an outdoor staging supplier, ESS has handled major events including Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure shows at the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Festival and international touring artists including Guns N’ Roses and The Muse.
ESS’ upcoming projects include the Good Vibrations National Tour, the Soundwave National Tour, and concerts for Sting and Michael Buble.
One of the company’s new initiatives will be the launch of a mobile warehouse concept, based in all major cities, which is intended to hasten delivery times to clients by storing staging products in sea containers.
“Safety, quality and high standards are at the forefront of everything we do. From our unique 3D CAD designs which enable us to thoroughly test build every stage, to our staff who are uncompromising when it comes to rigorous set-up and delivery, it is my intention that ESS will continue to set the benchmarks for our industry,” Barclay said.
