As part of their constant equipment upgrading, Entertainment Installations has recently invested in more of the latest Martin LED lighting.
They already own twenty-eight Martin MAC301 LED wash lights which – according to managing director Neale Mace – are in constant demand for their tours and shows as well as sub-hires to other lighting companies.
“To keep up with the demand for them we have just purchased another four to make total of thirty-two MAC301 in our inventory,” commented Neale.
Recently, Neale had a look at the new Martin MAC101 LED wash light and he was left extremely impressed – impressed enough to order twenty-four of them and put them straight to work on the John Butler tour.
“Initially I was a bit skeptical as they seemed so small and light in fact they seemed like a ‘toy’ light,” he said. “However I was wrong! You get such a lot of light from such a little fixture! They only weigh 3.7kg – you can pick them up with your finger – and they’re almost ‘moving mirror’ fast.”
As well as being remarkably small and super light, the MAC101 features a tight and very bright beam, rapid movement and calibrated colours with a low price tag that allows for revolutionary set, stage and decorative lighting designs.
Bryce Mace was the lighting designer for these John Butler dates and he put together a show using sixteen MAC101, six MAC301, eight Martin StageBar54S, six Martin TW1 wash, twenty-four Kupo MultiPar NSP and some blinders.
The show, controlled by a grandMA2 Lite + wing, featured some interesting looks with the 101’s and MultiPars on truss uprights and dropper bars.
