Entertainment Installation / Service Technician

Stagecraft Pty Ltd is an industry leader in providing design and engineering solutions to the entertainment world.

We currently have projects in Asia as well as around Australia. Due to a significant increase in our projects and services we are looking for experienced Installation/Service technicians.

Whilst the main focus will be on services and after service repairs. Our technicians also work on new installations, comprising audio, lighting, audio visual, stage machinery and flying systems.

Position Responsibilities: 

Ability to read schematics, design, and engineering drawings.

Service and install various items associated with entertainment audio, lighting, audio visual, staging, flying systems.

Fault find on items listed.

Testing and commissioning of items listed.

Travel as required both local and interstate. Possible overseas subject to experience.

Ability to organise and lead teams both inhouse and sub contract.

Practical and theoretical knowledge of theatres, performing arts and entertainment venues.

Client laison including meetings, site instruction meetings, site specific training, documented client training.

To be successful in this role the applicants should have  documented and proven experience in a similar role.

With hands on experience within at least two of the listed areas.

Have a practical approach to problem solving, and fault finding.

The ability to prioritise jobs and orders.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to clients and co workers.

Demonstrate pride in work undertaken, along with commercial awareness and current trends.

Minimum Requirements.

Test and Tag certificate.

High Risk – Dogging/Rigging .

Scissor lift and working at heights.

Minimum 2 years industry experience, in related field.

Construction white card and current police clearance.

Desirable Requirements.

Cert 4 in entertainment – audio-lighting-staging-audio visual.

Electrical workers licence.

Advanced rigging and or scaffolding.

Fork lift – HR – MR licences

Welding fabrication.

Proven experience in a large entertainment venue.

Project installation experience as a leading hand or supervisor.
