ENTECH NZ COUNTS DOWN

August Roadshow is almost full!

After far too long, the biannual ENTECH Roadshow resumes its schedule, running across NZ this August and then returning in 2026. Starting in Auckland at AOTEA on Tuesday 6, the trucks then wind down to Wellington – an 8-hour drive – for Shed 6 on Thursday 8th. The next day they drive on to the Cook Strait ferry for the 3.5-hour journey to Picton. After a rest, the Oceania crew do the 6-hour run down to Christchurch.

There the tour finishes at the amazing new Te Pae Convention Centre in the middle of town, on Tuesday, August 13. “We were amazed at the generosity of spirit and determination of design of this venue,” ENTECH boss Kate McKenzie told ALIA. “It is absolutely the finest convention centre we’ve seen south of Singapore – and to make it even better, it’s priced fairly as well!”

ENTECH in NZ is similar but different to Australia, where distance is a gruelling challenge. The Adelaide to Perth run alone spans 2,700 km and takes 3 truck days – each way. NZ has a slightly different but noticeable ’show’ culture to Australia, with a smaller population the NZ crews seem slightly more versatile and the work ethic is attuned to climate and catastrophe. A typical induction can talk about earthquakes and volcanos.

Returning this year is the ‘Epic Trekker’ incentive offered by exhibitors to their customers living more than 4 hour’s drive from Christchurch on the South Island. Those who can get up to Christchurch score a free hotel night, to help them attend. They typically stay longer than the average Australian, and enjoy the free barista beverages and happy hour from 4.30 pm.

Signed as of January are Jpro, PAVT, Meyer, NAS, Epson, ULA Group, The PA People, Riedel, Show Technology, Now Sound Ltd, Pacific AV, Amber Technology and MDR Sound & Lighting – with more in discussion that will fill the 31 stands. The NZ tour is limited to 2 trucks, compared to 4 in Australia next October.

Registration for (free) trade entry will open in March at www.entech-roadshow.com and exhibitor enquiries for AU and NZ are welcome, exhibit@entech-roadshow.com
