Eclipse Place Their Trust in Claypaky and MA

Eclipse Lighting have added eight Claypaky Axcor Beam 300s to their inventory along with an MA Lighting dot2 core console to keep them in order!

“I wanted something that was very bright, LED and lightweight,” explained Chris Neal, Managing Director of Eclipse. “It also had to be from a good, reliable brand name, a name that people will instantly accept on specs and riders.”

Axcor 300 is an extremely compact, lightweight range of units, which includes the Axcor Spot 300, Axcor Beam 300 and Axcor Wash 300. It was created to meet the needs of indoor lighting rigs and is the perfect choice for designers who want utmost quality while keeping their projects on budget.

The Axcor Beam 300 is a moving LED fixture with an extremely compact body that produces high light output with a solid 2º beam. Its 14-colour wheel and 17 gobos make it the perfect fixture for any type of live event.

Chris insists that he didn’t look at the lights before the purchase. He believed in the Claypaky name and when Mike Gearin said they were the lights for him, he totally trusted him. In fact Chris was so trusting of the Axcor Beams, he had them wheeled straight off the truck into Llewelyn Hall and onto stage for the Canberra Area Theatre Awards!

“The Axcor Beams have been great,” added Chris. “We do lots of outdoor music festivals and the Axcor Beams have been great for that. We’ve also used them on award shows and they were awesome. They deliver some amazing looks with their bright, crisp beams and are fast too.”

Chris and his crew are extremely happy with their MA Lighting dot2 core and plans to buy more.

“I like that they are powerful, small and lightweight,” he added. “You can fit them anywhere you need to go and run a fair fixture count on it. While I wouldn’t ideally use it on our bigger shows, if I was stuck it could still do some big events.

“The dot2 is highly interactive. It tells you what to do next, has a range of easy-to-use inbuilt effects and macros that mean, essentially, anyone with even a small amount of experience can start to run it.”

Chris reports that the console has been easy for his crew to pickup with its extremely user-friendly interface.
