Duty Technician (General)

Glenorchy is Tasmania’s fourth largest city with a population of 46,790.  The City lies on the western shore of the Derwent River, next to the City of Hobart. We are looking for a suitably qualified Casual Duty Technician (Installer) to join the team at the Moonah Arts Centre.  You will be responsible for the delivery of technical advice and assistance, following risk management procedures for the Moonah Arts Centre (MAC) and its hirers in the delivery of the visual arts program with a focus on visual arts installation

The Candidate:

The candidate will have proven experience and knowledge of exhibition gallery lighting and technical equipment and experience and knowledge of venue and event risk management.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have completed a qualifications and/or 3 to 4 years’ experience in the visual arts specifically in the installation of visual art exhibitions.

Position Number: 100701

Position Hours: Casual

Salary: Schedule A, Salary Point 7 – $60,008.13 to $66,618.84 pro-rata + 25% casual loading.  In accordance with Glenorchy City Council’s Enterprise Agreement 2016
