DUTY TECHNICIAN CASUAL POOL 

Division:City Life 

Unit: Venue Management  
Section: Commercial Events Management 
Salary: AUD 54.45 (inclusive of casual loading) and Superannuation

Employment status: Casual 

Location: Sydney CBD

About the role

The position is responsible for coordinating the delivery of the Technical Service Teams activities on the day of the event. This role is the primary venue supervisor during the load in, rehearsals and load out and is the primary venue contact for the hirer/client during these periods.
 

About the team

The Technical Services Team are responsible for the creation of an events ambiance and atmosphere, facilitation of performances and concerts, delivery of audio, lighting, visual, and effects to meet each individual event’s needs.

Criteria / skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • relevant industry experience (2 years or more), in a supervisory or senior position in Technical Services or Production for events, concerts, performance or live entertainment
  • experience managing technical equipment and a team of technical staff and operators who deliver the technical services for the event.
  • strong communication skills; a drive to deliver exceptional customer service; and will take initiative to resolve issues, identify process improvements and enhance the customer experience.
  • excellent time management skills; be able to manage competing priorities; and demonstrate resilience in the face of challenge and change.
