As Deputy Production Manager you will hold a key role within the production team, providing essential support to realise first-class theatrical productions. Your experience, high standards and attention to detail will assist the Production Manager in the day-to-day operational management. SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar position in a performing arts organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all technical aspects of professional theatre production, including planning, negotiating and managing production processes, set and costume builds and negotiation with creative teams.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing production budgets and schedules.
- Working knowledge of relevant industrial awards and legislation, including the Live Performance Award, Performer’s Certified Agreement and relevant WHS legislation and policies.
- Proven experience in working within and managing small teams in a fast-moving, creative environment and capacity to instil a high-performance and supportive culture.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- An eye for detail and the ability to see the big picture.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and demonstrated capacity to work independently.
Desirable
- A knowledge of the Western Australian performing arts environment.
- Performing arts touring experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Significant work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, will be regularly required.
- Must hold a valid C class WA driver’s license or equivalent.
