About the role:
• Key Responsibilities:
• Operate the Lighting Board as required.
• Assist Organising and Bump-in and bump out all Lighting elements of the Production.
• Assist Organising and running the Lighting aspects of the Production under the guidance of the Lighting Designer, Production Manager and / or their deputy.
• Update and modification of all relevant show plots and be responsible for the clear marking of the touring equipment.
• Maintain the technical standard set by the Head Lighting Electrician and Production Manager
• Aid in the maintenance the physical function of the production pertaining to LX / electromechanical items and report on all issues as they present themselves to the Production Manager.
• Cover dome plots as required.
• Attend production and staff meetings and implement requests from these meetings as directed.
• Follow the OHS and COVID Safe policies in place and as they are modified from time to time:
• Be responsible for ensuring that you follow safety guidelines, OHS and COVID Safe policies, use equipment in the recommended manner and use safety equipment as provided.
• Report any unsafe work practice that requires attention to your HOD, the Production Manager and or Executive Producer and ensure that you adhere to solutions provided and implemented.
• Participate and contribute to discussions on safety implementations as they arise.
• Other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time as advised by the Production Manager.
About you:
• You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in an Deputy HLX role or equivalent.
• Excellent organisation & communication skills.
• A team player, always wanting to put on the best show possible.
• Self motivated & takes initiative.
• Experience in working under pressure, using tact & diplomacy.
• Ability to work with creative’s, technical personnel and performers.
Commencement date: on or around 3rd July 2022
Salary: $1,500 p/w excl super, before tax.
