Meet Cyc Out™. Now, meet “CYC-OUT™.” By day, a flexible, graceful cyc light. By night, a punch-your-lights out, fully-loaded RGBW colour mixing strobe. It was going to be called “JekyllandHydeoled,” but someone already took that name. The Cyc Out™’s multi-mode strobe functions include dual zone control and individual strobe rates for each colour, plus separate duration and rate controls for impressive, xenon-like blinder effects, all without the need for gel (or mousse).
The fixture’s dual-zone colour control also creates smooth, wide colour gradients from a single source, making it a unique secret weapon for lighting designers.
Dragging the whole room down into a serious nerd/marketing type discussion, Blizzard’s Will Komassa remarked, “Cyc Out™ is that rare product that is perfectly suited for two very different applications.” Then, sensing he was losing the audience, he noted, “As a colour-changing strobe, it does a very capable ‘impression’ of xenon strobes, can layer strobes of different colours and rates, and is eye-popping, to say the least. As a cyc light, the even field and long throw at narrow angles are among the best I’ve seen. And the dual-colour gradient effects? Those are really a game changer.”
The Cyc Out™ comes fitted with 256x (64x R/G/B/W) 3W LEDs with a 60° beam angle. Just like classic strobe fixtures, the light is projected forward and enhanced by a parabolic reflector (rather than directly forward, like most LED strobes). The fixture’s beam angle can be shaped using the equipped 2 leaf barn doors, plus, the its strobe rate, intensity, and duration of the pulse are all fully controllable in both standalone and DMX modes.
Cyc Out™ fixtures come with an easy-to-use control panel with a Micro OLED display with 4x touch sensitive buttons, power switch, 3/5-pin XLR in/out connections, a mounting bracket with stabilizers for free standing position flexibility, and a powerCON® compatible AC power input connector.
