Band 4 $37,652 – $39,777 per annum (based on 0.6 EFT) plus 9.5% statutory superannuation
Availability to work on weekends and evenings is essential
An exciting temporary opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced individual to develop and deliver presenter services at The Wedge Performing Arts Centre.
The Wedge is an exciting cultural facility that delivers exceptional entertainment choice for Wellington Shire’s community and visitors. The Centre presents more than 150 events each year of very diverse local, professional and community programming, with attendance of over 50,000 annually.
The Coordinator Theatre Production is responsible for providing high-quality technical services to presenters and support for events at The Wedge Performing Arts Centre. Supervising the casual theatre technicians; you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with presenters, visitors, and staff. In addition, you will have knowledge of theatre practices and trends and have a clear understanding of safe work practices relative to the theatre environment. This dynamic role involves long hours, irregular shift patterns, heavy physical work and tight deadlines which you will be required to undertake work with limited direction.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:
* Demonstrated ability to set up audio-visual, lighting, and staging equipment to a professional standard for all types of events including bands, musical theatre, and corporate events.
* Knowledge and understanding of the technical theatre equipment used at The Wedge Performing Arts Centre which includes Allen&Heath D-Live audio and ETC Gio consoles.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment whilst supervising and assisting team members with problem-solving capacity.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with presenters on their technical requirements to explain services and standards.
* Tertiary degree qualified or recognised specialist knowledge of the functions and Entertainment Industry, or a minimum of five years’ industry experience.
