Coordinator – Technical

About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, 38hours per week position, at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Salary: $77,416 – $90,120 p.a. plus 11% Super

Duties
Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the focus of this position is to

  • Lead and manage the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre (SEC) technical team to provide professional production services for all events.
  • Provide expert advice in relation to the venue’s technical services.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance of technical and theatre inventory is in accordance with Australian industry and safety standards.
  • Maintain documentation relating to technical equipment and theatre inventory including asset management records, operating processes and safe working methods.
  • Provide accurate advice to assist quote preparation, event planning, equipment purchases and reconciliations

Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in technical production, installation, operation and maintenance of theatrical and event technical equipment and systems.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the operation of audio, lighting, visual, digital, fibre optic networks, live streaming systems, digital conferencing and theatre equipment. As well as the software applications to operate such systems.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and operating audio, lighting and network equipment in a large and complex networked environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in rostering and supervising a team.
  • Sound knowledge of work practices, policies and legislation relevant to the scope of the position.
  • Current licences, or a willingness to attain qualifications not currently held, for
    • Elevated work platform
    • Working at Heights
    • Theatrical rigging
    • Electrical test & tag
    • SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White card)
    • NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Accreditation
    • First Aid Certification
    • Class C Driver’s licence or higher approved for NSW
    • Working with Children Clearance
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)

This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check. Applicants are required to apply and pay for this check if not already obtained.
