For over a month Cold Chisel has been touring around Australia. The tour has seen stadiums and wineries and in doing so has come through bushfires and heat and smoke, all the way through to the last gig which saw the crew working through downpours of rain and mud. These images captured their very last performance at Sirromet Wines in Queensland.
Internationally renowned lighting designer Jeff Pavey went on the road with the tour standing behind a High End Systems Hog 4 console and he delivered production that was simply stunning. Pavey’s passion for both lighting and the industry was clearly visible in the overall look of the show.
The touring rig consisted predominantly of Robe BMFL and Megapointe plus GLP X4 and X4L fixtures with a total of 150 fixtures, the majority of which is in pre-rig truss, allowing for seamless load-ins and load-outs.
Pavey also specified the Follow-Me system for the tour which worked in conjunction with the BMFL fixtures and provided follow spot coverage on stage from a small workstation at dimmers.
Video production for the tour was also supplied by Creative, with DiColor LED all housed in touring frames and a PTZ camera package for the touring production as well as additional camera packages for the venues requiring IMAG screens.
