Our Claypaky Product Showcase events held in Sydney and Melbourne this week, gave our clients a chance to get up close and personal with some incredible products. Lending a guiding hand were Alfonso Zarate Takano (Claypaky Sales Manager for the APAC Area) and Mirco Segatto (Claypaky Support Engineer).
As well as the newly released Hepikos, there were fixtures on show that we’ve all grown to love and rely on including the Mythos 2, Scenius Profile, Unico, K-eye, Axcor 900 and the full Axcor 300 series.
However it was a sneak peek at the soon-to-be-released Axcor 400 and Axcor 600 fixtures that had everyone buzzing.
“I am excited with this new range of cutting-edge products and we have had a HUGE response from the market,” commented a thrilled Emmanuel Ziino, Show Technology’s Managing Director. “Claypaky has proven yet again how innovative, progressive and technically proficient Italian manufacturers can be! These are some of the reasons I have been associated with Claypaky for almost 25 years.”

“While I got to see most of the new products at PL+S in Frankfurt, I was particularly excited to see the new Axcor 400 and 600 series fixtures. The Axcor 400 brings framing to a new price point for brands in the ‘A league’ of moving lights. This is exciting!” Jeremy Koch, Innovative Productions.
“Having seen the Axcor 400 and 600 at PL+S in Frankfurt (in the semi-secret Claypaky room) it was great to see the almost production-ready products in the Show Technology demo room. I was particularly impressed with the Axcor 400 and 600; their light output, flat field, weight and feature set are second to none. The Claypaky attention to detail and build quality was evident even in these pre-production units. Claypaky’s LED technology has really come forward here and the Lumens output of these fixtures is impressive (especially when using the “boost” mode on the Axcor 600). We’re always in the market for great, LED based lights and as usual, Claypaky is right at the top of our list.” Neale Mace, ei Productions.
“At Audio Visual Events we work hard to ensure our rental fleet includes the latest products from leading brands. So, viewing the newest additions to Claypaky’s Axcor range was important. We gained a lot of information, were able to compare products during the demo and got the chance to discuss the new fixtures with old friends, clients and industry colleagues from around Australia.” Paul Keating, Audio Visual Events
“It was great to meet the guys from Claypaky and see all of the new fixtures and features. I was particularly impressed with the Axcor 300 range and I’m looking forward to using some beams in Perth on the weekend. The Scenius are amazing and I plan to use Profiles and Unicos on shows soon. The new Axcor 900s also look great. Showtech’s new Sydney showroom is the perfect place to get close to all of the units and meet old and new friends.” Hugh Taranto, Taranto Lighting Design
MELBOURNE
“It was great to see a presentation of the full lineup of fixtures from Claypaky in a new and interesting format. The mixed media presentation was a nice departure from the usual “this is a feature, this is the next feature” step by step drone that is often the style for displaying a moving light. Of particular note, after seeing the initial prototype some time ago, it was great to see the new Hepikos fixture. Certainly the first real ‘non-smarty LED face’ wash light to hit the market in many years with tons of grunt and the usual unmatchable quality we all love Claypaky for. I think everyone would have to agree that the Axcor 900 sets the (very high) bar when it comes to LED based profile fixtures, and I enjoyed being able to get a pre shipping look at the smaller Axcor 400 and Axcor 600 members of this family which I can see a home for on many productions.” Clint Dulieu, Mandylights
“The versatility and colour reproduction from the new Claypaky fixtures is fantastic. Intelligent lighting fixtures with the capacity for multiple applications over the course of an event are highly beneficial to corporate and charity clients focused on achieving maximum impact on a strict budget.” Jonathan Cook, Encore Event Technologies
“As with all their product presentations, Show Technology Melbourne maintained the highest level of excellence while bringing those that attended an intimate and very informative look at the next generation of fixtures we are excited about and can’t wait to bring to our respective audiences.” Eddie Galak, Lightmoves
“The Claypaky presentation was amazing. The interaction of the narrative video explained everything with the lights going through their features. It was great to see the new fixtures in the range; small form factor with similar features of the bigger brothers.” Michael Zagarn, Freelancer
