Clay Paky Mythos has arrived at Perth’s Frontier Lighting and Jared Hawke, managing director, is overjoyed with their performance.
“What can I say other than they’re FANTASTIC!” he declared. “I feel strongly about Frontier only stocking good quality products that are reliable and the Mythos are certainly that. I’m proud of the fact that we don’t stock some of the cheaper, less reliable brands made for less fortunate companies. I’m honoured to represent a company such as Clay Paky because their products are so reliable and well made.”
Jared was impressed by the versatility offered by the Mythos which can be a beam light, sky beam or spotlight with a wide zoom and super-accurate gobos. Other features that he favours are the low power consumption, compact size and light weight.
As soon as the Mythos arrived, the guys at Frontier decided to test them outside in their car park late at night. Not long after they fired them up to shoot brilliant beams into the sky, the police arrived to enquire what was happening and if they were trying to shoot down planes.
The second unexpected event was an autistic child walked two kilometres from his house to the factory because he saw the beams of light.
“One of our staff had to run him home,” commented Jared. “It was an interesting night!”
Show Technology’s WA branch manager Gino Lombardi lives thirty kilometres away yet he could clearly see the beams of light and to prove it, he was telling Jared over speaker phone what colours he was shooting.
“I also got someone else to run some colours in case anyone thought it was a set up but Gino could see it all,” added Jared. “It’s such a powerful light and comes with a fixture library that works! In fact I’m very excited about this light, I think it’s just starting to take off in the world being specified on tours such as The Foo Fighters and Maroon 5. We’re very excited to be able to offer it to the Perth market.”
Jared was keen to emphasis that Gino went out of his way to help and did a lot of work to get the Mythos to Frontier.
