Since its arrival on the market the Clay Paky Mythos has made its presence felt across all sectors of the lighting industry. Creative Lighting & Audio has invested in this versatility adding Mythos units to their inventory.
Managing director Andre Kecskes comments that he purchased the Mythos to keep up with client’s demands.
“I like the buzz generated by the Mythos,” he said. “Plus it is good for business to have latest equipment. We are using them for outdoor and indoor projects including many corporate events, festivals and lots of awards nights. They were successfully used on a VIVID installation with custom gobos too.”
One project that saw Creative’s Mythos in action was Sydney’s Discovery Day, an exciting new event to explore the elusive Bays Precinct of Pyrmont, Glebe, Rozelle and Balmain areas. Sydneysiders were given a chance to see close up what the area is like today, learn about its past, and consider its future.
Creative were tasked to illuminate the twin chimney stacks of the old White Bay Power Station thus attracting attention to the site. Creative provided lights, control system and programming for this project, using the Mythos for its flawless sharpness of the entire beam length. The project duration was one week, outdoors and running on a timer without any problem.
“The Mythos performed really well,” remarked Andre. “They did exactly what we needed. Tight beams with slow movement, colour changes and zoom effects were the main features used on this project. I really like the brightness and zoom of the Mythos.”
