The government initiative to remove inefficient incandescent lamps from sale is targeting the major energy wasting lamps in the
community: the 60 – 150w general lighting service incandescent lamps.
Specialist lamps including those used for traffic management, operating theatres, stage productions, photography and movie-making are explicitly exempt from the provisions of the minimum efficiency standards.
Aside from this exemption, the vast majority of the lamps used in production already meet or exceed the proposed minimum efficiency requirements.
However, if you are using a rig of PAR38s (portafloods) you are in deep trouble.
Otherwise, you may just have to go looking for some the newer high-efficiency incandescent lamps for your practical fittings.
