St Hilda’s School, an independent Anglican day and boarding school for girls located in Southport on the Gold Coast in Queensland, recently underwent a refurbishment of their school theatre to modernise the lighting system to meet current specifications and industry expectations.
Dominica Sound was contracted to complete the upgrade, which included updating the Cyc lighting, FOH wash, and lighting control system.
CHAUVET Professional Cyc1-FCs were selected as the optimal option to illuminate the Cyc, providing excellent coverage with just eight fixtures.
As part of the FOH wash upgrade, Chauvet Professional Ovation E-260ww profiles with 19-degree lenses were utilized to evenly cover the stage with significantly higher output compared to the older units they replaced.
To complete the upgrade, the school’s lighting control system was updated with an Avolites T3 console. Its power and flexibility, enabled by the Titan V16 software, allowed students to easily learn and confidently operate the console for their shows.
