Chauvet DJ provides the perfect illumination for Melbourne based Superband, and their latest production The Piano Men – a tribute to two of the greatest Piano Men of all time, Billy Joel and Elton John. Delivering a stand out performance with full 7-piece band celebrating the greatest songs of all time!
The band currently uses four Intimidator 455z LED moving heads, together with eight SlimparPRO H USB LED pars to create a captivating show that compliments the bands performance and adding to the overall audience experience.
“The Piano man show is much more subtle, I use the 455z’s to throw slow moving gobo looks around the stage, and also to back light members of the band during solos,” said Superband’s LD Michael Loughnan. “The 455z’s squeaky clean optics and motorised zoom make you feel like you’re using a much higher-end fixture.
“The small size and light weight build, coupled with the high-output hex LEDs make the SlimparPRO H perfect for the bulk of our corporate shows. I use a simple four per side and that easily gives me enough light dispersion across all members of the band.”
