Chas Clarkson’s Production and Technical Manager David Ward came to Showtools looking for a grand structure with 18m free spans and happily they were able deliver with Eurotruss. As this was an outdoor structure the specifications on the Eurotruss HD44 met his engineers requirements to complete what would be a whopping 40m x 12m x 8m high structure that harnessed a 400sqm LED Flex display with custom content to create a visual Christmas display over the main road at Castle Tower Piazza.
Custom bases with ballasts were disguised as planter boxes and they held a one hour show every night with live entertainment.
As it was a huge success with the public who came from far and wide to view this grand structure & spectacular visual display the council requested that its stay be extended with new content for NYE celebrations and there are rumours for the future to expand the structure to a greater length stretching another 18m on the main road.
David originally mentioned he was looking to sub hire the Eurotruss HD44 before actually making the decision to purchase it. However upon seeing what it had to offer the decision to purchase was made simple. Allowing for extra truss in the future and therefore increasing the network of Eurotruss HD44 users.
