One of the most successful television formats in history, Dancing With The Stars, is back – only bigger, better, bolder and brighter on Network 10 and WIN network.
Filmed at Stage 2 Fox Studios in Sydney, technical production management is by Mitech Design with Ian Anderson as lighting designer/director and Mark Ulbricht operating white light.
We’ve had a wide variety of lighting on this gig so Ian can produce stunning looks every week including Claypaky Mythos, Sharpy, Sharpy Wash, Unico and Stormy. Martin Professional MAC Encore CLD, Vari-Lite VL1100AS, GLP – German Light Products impression X4 Bar and the new FR1 add to the intelligent lighting.
A selection of LED PARs and Strips illuminate the set which also features many generic fixtures such as PAR 64, ETC Source 4, and Fresnels. Cineo 410 supply full-gamut soft light and Robert Juliat Alex Followspots are used.
Atmospherics are delivered by Reel FX DF50, Viper Fogger, MDG low fog floor pocket, and LSG low fog system.
Control is by 3 x MA Lighting International MA2 light with 6 x MA2 NPU.
We also supplied power distribution, dimming, chain hoists and blocks, truss and 1t Varispeed Kinesys hoists and control.
Chameleon core crew on this gig are Danyon McCue, Dylan Hines and Liam Dawson. Occasional crew include Rebecca Bain, Matt Garrett, Anthony Carlon, Chris Masters, Peter Jakob and Luke Cuthbertson.
