He may have turned a few naïve lighting technicians white in his day but now Tony Davies, managing director of Chameleon Touring Systems, is turning his attention to turning Martin white. We’re talking about Martin MACs of course. In fact Chameleon revealed their white powder coated MAC700’s at their recent Open Day and the response from the lighting rental market was very positive.
Always quick to spot a gap in the lighting rental market, Tony reports that the white MACs have received bookings and lots of interest since their unveiling. In fact the white MAC700’s are just about to be used on the Myer Spring/Summer fashion launch designed by Mark Hammer.
“I think there’s a lot of interest in a non-black moving light particularly in the corporate market,” he commented. “In fact we are looking at a couple of other colours too, maybe gold and silver.”
