This full-time, fixed term contract offers the opportunity to combine hands on technical skills with some managerial expertise. The role will involve the operations and efficient management of the Alan Ross Centre, a 500 seat auditorium, 200 capacity black box theatre and associated spaces, situated at Billanook College in Mooroolbark, Victoria.
Responsibility will entail the operation of all technical facilities (including lighting, audio, projection, staging), scheduling and arranging the use and maintenance of the Centre. A client service focus and the associated people skills are essential to support school staff and liaise with external users.
Term 4 is an extremely busy period for the Centre, with a number of key College events complimented by extensive external hiring of the facility. Therefore the position requires a fair degree of flexibility, with the successful applicant needing to be available to work during the day time, evenings and weekends, depending on performances.
