We are seeking both entry level and experienced Theatre Technicians on a casual-basis, to support across both our Berwick & Pakenham campuses.
The Theatre Technicians will perform technical duties for Beaconhills College Performing Arts Centres and other College facilities as required. Delivering outstanding technical and customer services to all internal and external clients of the Tony Sheumack Centre for Performing Arts, and Lois Maghanoy Centre for Performing Arts. These roles will support the delivery of all programs and events within the Performing Arts Centres and other College Facilities as required under the direction of the Technical Operations Coordinator.
Theatre Technicians overview and selection criteria:
- Commencing as soon as possible or by negotiation
- This position is a multi-campus role
- $44.64-$50.33 per hour, based on experience
- This position requires a current employee WWCC and police check
- Ability to step in the role of a Lead Technician when required
- A suitable qualification in Performing Arts Technical Production/Technology with relevant industry experience or extensive practical experience in multiple aspects of theatre technology/theatre operations and event delivery in a professional theatre/venue environment.
- Riggers certificate (advantageous)
- Fire Emergency Warden Training certificate (advantageous)
- OHS Basic training and application within a Theatre environment (advantageous)
- Elevated heights, scaffolding and elevated work platform licence (advantageous)
- Electrical test and tag ticket (advantageous)

- Entry level position (suitable for graduated Tech Team students, people new to the industry, no supervisory element)
- Commencing as soon as possible or by negotiation
- This position is a multi-campus role
- $38.79 per hour
