The Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, Liverpool City Council’s premier multi-disciplinary arts and culture Centre set on the banks of the Georges River in Western Sydney is looking for professional and reliable theatre technicians to be part of our energetic, vibrant and growing team.
We are looking for people with at least 3 years’ experience and/or qualifications in live production, performances and/or technical services relating to the entertainment industry. We are looking for people with strong work ethics and multitasking skills.
The casual Theatre Technicians provide assistance to the Technical Producer and Venue and Events Producer in the provision of technical (lighting, sound and audio visual) installation and operation for a diverse range of theatre programs including dance, music, multi-media, film and special events, as well as in-house/external events which all contribute to the centre’s theatre program. This includes working closely with the Theatre Technician and the Venue Technical staff in setting up, striking and operating all equipment to support a range of small to large live performances and events. This technical support is to be provided with properly developed and managed WHS practices and risk management procedures.
