Casual Theatre Technician

Classification: THT 5 ($29.27 per hour + 25% casual loading)

About the Role… 

We are looking for customer-focused and outgoing Theatre Technicians to join our team! Based at the Civic Centre you will provide audio visual and production support to the Shedley Theatre and a range of vibrant function and event spaces.

As a Theatre Technician you will:

  • Contribute to the best visual performance of theatre and function activities by providing technical support to all hirers of the Civic Centre
  • Operate, maintain, and develop all sound, lighting, recording and vision equipment to hirers
  • Undertake and support function centre set up and pack down
  • Support the broader Civic Venues team with a range of function and event related tasks as required


About You…

It’s important to us that you are the right fit to join our team, but just as important, that Playford is the right place for you.

Ideally you will be someone who has experience in a similar role, including a sound understanding of sound, lighting, recording and visual support for events and functions. Tertiary qualification in lighting, sound, or visual effects is highly desirable, however we welcome applicants with equivalent experience.
