About the Role
The Casual Technician position is part of the Operations and Technical Team that is responsible for all operational, technical and front of house support for the Arts Precincts activities, including performances and events. The Technical team is responsible for ensuring all technical aspects of the venue and equipment are maintained and improved in line with procurement policies and industry standards, and facilitate all technical and production-related operational duties for events at the highest professional standards. Several positions are available in the disciplines of lighting, audio, audio visual and staging
- Provide a high-quality, safe and sustainable technical service (lighting, audio, audio visual, staging) for presenters and hirers of Arts Precincts facilities
- Assist in the delivery of the Arts Precincts’ program of events and activities
- Provide friendly, focussed and flexible customer service to hirers, artists and patrons of the Arts Precincts’ facilities
- Ensure a safe and clean environment is provided for all events
Skills & Experience
- Technical competence in one or more technical discipline areas of live performance industry
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent client and artist liaison communication skills, with a broader understanding of the industry sector
- Excellent innovative and creative problem-solving skills
- Be a flexible, enthusiastic and motivated team member
