Casual Senior Theatre Technician

About The Role

Sport & Community Venues branch delivers and develops a diverse range of quality community facilities, optimising service outcomes and contributing to the social cohesion, economic viability and health and wellbeing of our community.

The Casual Senior Theatre Technician works closely with Venue & Operations Officer to provide efficient day-to-day technical operations and maintenance of the Council’s Community and Performance Venues.

  • Professionally liaise with event hirers to set up and operate their technical production requirements.
  • Assist with the set up and facilitate audio technical operations for events taking place within Altitude Nine, City Hall and./ or Venue 114.
  • Report any technical production issues to Venue & Operation Officer.

About You

As a Senior Theatre Technician, you will have experience in setting up and operating technical operations including audio production, power point presentations, vision switching.

You will have physical agility and the level of fitness, strength, and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending.

You will be available to work nights and weekends.

As a requirement of this role, you will possess First Aid and Blue Card Certificate.

Pre-Employment Medical Required?

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.

Criminal History Check Required?

Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History.
